IEEE 802.3 10Pass-TS

Like 2Base-TL, 10Pass- TS is a bandpass technology for Ethernet in the First Mile( EFM) over voice-grade cable( VG), a simple telephone cable.

Unlike 2Base-TL, which is designed for longer distances, 10Pass-TS is suitable for short distances up to 750 m, but has a higher data rate, at least 10 Mbit/s. The connection is a point-to-point connection in full duplex. By bundling several twisted pairs, as provided by the PME Aggregation Function (PAF), much higher data rates are achieved. The transmission rate depends mainly on the quality of the telephone cables.

10Pass-TS can be used as VDSL or VDSL2 Ethernet in the first mile for Internet services over telephone cables.
