discrete Fourier transformation (encoding) (DFT)
The discrete Fourier transform(DFT) is the decomposition of a time-related oscillation into its frequency spectral components.
The DFT method is used in audio technology to determine and influence the frequency spectrum and to optimize the sound image. The frequency spectrum can be used to regenerate the original signal. In the discrete Fourier transform the specific concerns of data processing were optimized. The inverse of the DFT method is the inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT).
Since the DFT method contains a lot of redundancy, the FFT transform is usually used in practice, the results of which are identical to those of the DFT transform.
