Channel divider (IDN)

Channel splitter (KT) is a term from the Integrated Digital Network( IDN). It was a multiplexer for bundling or separating synchronous data channels in structured user data networks with direct data links.

The operating principle of the channel splitter is synchronous time division multiplexing( STDM). In this process, transmission channels with different transmission rates are multiplexed or demultiplexed to a higher data rate.
