world wide port name (WWPN)

In Fibre Channel, each FC port is identified by a globally unique port address, the World Wide PortName (WWPN). The WWPN is a 64-bit address that can be assigned by different authorization instances. Fibre Channel uses the Network Address Authority ( NAA) to distinguish these authorized instances, which are entered in a 4-bit long data field.
