workplace wiring
Workplace cabling is not part of the cabling standards and can therefore be implemented in a service-neutral manner.
Workplace cabling depends mainly on the computer equipment, the size of the room and the number of employees. For the number of subscriber connection boxes( TA), two to three connections per employee can be used as a guideline.
In terms of room size, two connections are recommended for a room of 10 square meters, and four connections for a room of 20 square meters. The connection from the subscriber line to the terminal equipment is made via the system-dependent flexible connection cables, such as Lobe cables, patch cables or transceiver cables.
If the connection is made optically via fiber optic cables to the workstation, then it is fiber to the desk( FTTD).
