The Wireless SessionProtocol (WSP) is part of the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and is used to establish a session between a terminal device
and a WAP gateway. The gateway translates the terminal-specific request into an HTTP request and sends it to the WWW server. In addition to the normal HTML page, the Web server for mobile devices can provide a Web page in Wireless Markup Language
(WML). The WSP protocol provides the user with a connection-oriented service and a connectionless service.
The connection-oriented service, Wireless Transaction Protocol (WTP), provides an acknowledgement to the requestor after the request. The connectionlessWireless Datagram Protocol (WDP), on the other hand, does not. The WSP/B protocol provides services for web browsers.
