wireless robust authentication protocol (802.11i) (WRAP)

Wireless Robust Authentication Protocol (WRAP) is an optional encryption protocol of 802.11i based on the Offset Codebook( OCB) of the Advanced Encryption Standard( AES). It can be optionally used in 802.11 WLANs in addition to the CCMP (Counter Mode With CBC- MAC Protocol) encryption protocol specified by 802.11i. The fact that IEEE 801.11i has opted for CCMP is also due to the fact that several institutions claim the rights to the WRAP protocol for themselves.
