Wireless Access Communication System (WACS) is a standard for the wireless connection of terminal equipment to the access network, as implemented in Wireless Local Loop (WLL) and Radio Local Loop (RLL). WACS operates with transmitting equipment covering a range of approximately 300 m. Procedurally, Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) is used for transmission and 32 kbit/sAdaptive Delta Pulse Code Modulation (ADPCM) for voice transmissions. Quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) is used for modulation.
