what you see is what you confirm (WYSIWYC)

The acronym WYSIWYC has two meanings: It stands for "What You See Is What You Confirm

" and translates as "What you see is what you confirm", as well as for "What You See Is What You Choose" and translates as "What you see is what you chose". For money transactions using the PIN/TAN procedure, WYSIWYC (Confirm) makes it clear that there is no further verification step for the transfer data. WYSIWYC thus serves both usability and security purposes. WYSIWYC cannot be achieved with some transaction procedures such as that with Mobile Transaction Number (mTAN).
