web services registry (WSR)

A Web services directory, Web Service Registry (WSR), includes a mechanism to expose and discover Web services, metadata, and policies.

The classification and systematization capabilities enable developers to search for Web services with specific characteristics. In order for WSR directories to be used for e-commerce, they should support Universal Description, Discovery and Integration( UDDI).
