web services interoperability (WS-I)

The Web Services Interoperability Organization (WS-I) is developing guidelines for implementing

and supporting interoperability testing of Web services. This is intended to eliminate interoperability problems in the various implementations of Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Web Services Description Language (WSDL) and Universal Description, Discovery and Integration

(UDDI). WS-I members include many well-known manufacturers and users of Web services. On the basis of defined profiles, the WS-I develops core standards for the interaction of the various standardized Web protocols as well as the XML schema.
