voice browser
A voice browser is an interactive, voice-controlled user interface that is functionally comparable to a web browser and can interpret HTML.
The documents that a voice browser must implement are written in the special XML version VoiceXML( VXML).
Voice browsers work acoustically and can play back stored voice files or convert texts to speech and output them using text-to-speech. Voice browsers can work voice-controlled with speech recognition or with keyboard inputs. Voice browsers are used in IVR systems, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), in virtual agents and chatbots.
