visual processing unit (VPU)

The term Visual Processing Unit (VPU) is used synonymously with Graphics Processing Unit(GPU), but the term is relatively rarely used.

In both cases, the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and the Visual Processing Unit (VPU), it is a microprocessor that takes over computationally intensive tasks and relieves the central processing unit of these tasks.

Visual Processing Units are processors with a scalable, programmable architecture. Their architecture is optimized for graphical calculations, which means they can render and calculate graphics and graphic displays much faster than Central Processing Units( CPU), which are supported by the VPUs in their computing power.
