Virtual Execution System (VES) is a run-time system of the Common Language Infrastructure( CLI), which provides a corresponding system environment for the execution of managed codes.

The Rub-Time system is supported by existing data types. It provides direct support for a number of built-in data types, defines a theoretical machine with an associated machine model, several flow control constructs, and an error handling model. VES executes and supports the Common Intermediate Language instruction set accordingly. The Common Language Runtime( CLR) is the implementation of the . NET framework.
