virtual channel memory (VCM)

Virtual Channel Memory (VCM) is an architecture developed by NEC, with which different blocks within the memory module can be addressed separately via the controller, which have their own buffer. In this way, different system tasks can be assigned to their own virtual channel. Information related to one task does not share memory space with other tasks, making memory operation much more efficient. VCM technology is used in conjunction with Synchronous Dynamic RAMs( SDRAM).
