A virtual call center( VCC) is a geographically dispersed call center. The employees work in different offices that are distributed regionally or nationwide, or in home offices.

The advantage of virtual call centers is that they can be located in different continents or countries, thus bridging time zones. The virtual call centers are thus available to inquirers around the clock. The employees are connected via virtual call center software and can forward customers to other employees. Virtual call centers require very little investment. All they need is an Internet connection and various telecommunications services.
