VHS-C cassettes, Video Home System Compact (VHS-C), are used in camcorders. They are compact VHS cassettes that can be played on VHS recorders with a mechanical adapter. These cassettes are also available with improved quality for S-VHS as S-VHS-C. The tracks on the VHS-C tape are identical to those of the VHS system, as are the technical characteristics.
