very easy rodent-oriented net-wide index to computerized archives (Veronica)

Veronica is an information search program in the Internet, which accesses all systems

with Gopher programs. To avoid time-consuming searching in Gopher servers, with Veronica a program was developed, which, like Archie, queries all Gopher servers in regular time intervals and stores the Gopher menus. On Veronica servers one can search thus all Gopher menus for search terms. Several search criteria can be linked by the logical operands AND, OR and NOT. In order to search for word parts, the character "*" can be used as Joker. If a search term is placed in quotation marks, it is also case-sensitive.
