Upsizing is an opposite strategy to downsizing. Upsizing involves an upgrade of computer technology, such as a transition from midrange data technology to mainframe technology. It can thus also be a form of rightsizing. Such migrations are constantly being made in view of the ever more widespread client- server architectures.
