uplink time of arrival (UL-ToA)

Uplink Time of Arrival (UL-ToA) is one of several techniques for determining the location of mobiledevices in mobile networks

. UL-ToA is used for location-based services(LBS). The technique has a higher location accuracy than other cellular-based location techniques, but it requires the radio signals from four base stations to calculate the position of the mobile devices, unlike Time of Arrival (ToA), which needs to receive three base stations.
