universal asymmetric digital subscriber line (UDSL)

Universal Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (UDSL) is a proposal for an ADSL system prepared by the Universal ADSL Working Group (UAWG), known as Splitterless ADSL, UDSL and G.lite by the International Telecommunication Union( ITU).

The system is a particularly simple version of an ADSL system that operates without splitters. UDSL has reduced transmission speeds of 500 kbit/s to 1 Mbit/s and limited transmission possibilities when using a telephone connection at the same time. In this case, the ADSL connection is interrupted.
