ultra port architecture (UPA)

The UPA bus (Ultra PortArchitecture) is a processor bus used in RISC architectures, such as SPARC. This high- performance bus system works with an internal cross-bar switch that coordinates the connections of the central processing unit ( CPU), memory and I/O components. The UPA bus has a data throughput of 2.4 GB/s.
