Thanks to its internal shielding and the metallic screw connection, the Twinax connector is characterized by good tightness against radiation and interference.
The Twinax connector has two inner conductors, spaced 6.2 mm apart in a Teflon layer, which provide the connection. It operates in the frequency range up to 200 MHz, possibly also up to 500 MHz, and can be connected to twinaxial cables with impedances of 78 ohms and 95 ohms.
