transparent conductive oxide (thin film) (TCO)

Transparent conductive oxides (TCO) are doped metal oxides used to coat and improve the performance of optoelectronic components.

CTO technology is used for the production of transparent semiconductors on which transparent layers or conductor paths are vapor-deposited during the coating process. In addition, Transparent Conductive Oxides are found in thin film solar cells as current collection electrodes, as anode material of OLEDs, in OLED displays and touch screens.

Most TCO layers are made from polycrystalline or amorphous microstructures of zinc oxide( ZnO), tin oxide (SnO2) or indium tin oxide( ITO) and deposited on glass.
