transaction capability (ISDN) (TC)

Transactions are small, self-contained units for an uninterrupted process flow.

The ability to perform transactions is expressed in ISDN and GSM networks by the fact that functions and procedures can be transmitted and processed between different units. As a rule, this involves information of the signalling channel such as SS7 signalling, i.e. information that cannot be assigned to the user channel.

The transaction capability, Transaction Capability( TC), represents a basic service for application processes, but also supports cross-systemapplications such as smart card recognition and is used for signaling in GSM networks with the Mobile User Part( MUP).
