frame relay traffic shaping (FRTS)

Frame Relay Traffic Shaping (FRTS) is a functionality used in LabelEdge Routers(LER), such as the CE Router, Customer Edge (CE), in Multi-Protocol Label Switching( MPLS). FRTS eliminates bottlenecks in Frame Relay networks that occur in high-speed links and ensures the correct concatenation of data packets on the output lines of CE routers. In addition, Frame Relay Traffic Shaping (FRTS)checks the availability of network capacity.
