time synchronized mesh protocol (WHart) (TSMP)

Time Synchronized Mesh Protocol (TSMP) is a communication protocol for self-organizing radio networks, the Self Organized Networks( SON). In the TSMP protocol, the individual network nodes, which are constantly synchronized with each other, communicate with each other via time slots, similar to Time Division Multiplexing(TDM).

Due to the deterministic technique, the network nodes only require an extremely small amount of energy, since the network nodes are only active for a short time. The TSMP protocol is extremely reliable and can be used in noise-loaded environments. The time- synchronous channel hopping method it uses, Time Slotted Channel Hopping( TSCH), avoids interference because data packets are transmitted between TSMP components on different radio channels depending on the transmission time.

TSMP is used in Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN) that operate according to 802.15.4e or also in Bluetooth and WirelessHART.
