testing as a service (TaaS)

With Testing as a Service (TaaS), a company's testing activities are carried out by external service providers. This can involve the assignment of individual testing tasks or the outsourcing of all testing tasks.

Testing as a Service is particularly often used when special measurement tasks are involved that require a lot of detailed knowledge and for which the company's own employees are not trained. TaaS testing can include all testing tasks; functional testing, performance testing, security testing and acceptance testing to name a few.
