terrestrial DAB (T-DAB)

Terrestrial DAB (T-DAB) is digital radio (DAB) transmitted terrestrially. However, since the transmission frequencies provided in the L-band also allow satellite-based transmission, a distinction is made between Satellite DAB

(S-DAB) and T-DAB, the terrestrial variant. A frequency plan was drawn up by CEPT in 1995 with carrier frequencies in the VHF band and in the L-band.

For Germany, this plan provides for the frequency range in Band III from 174 MHz and 230 MHz and in the L band the frequency range from 1.452 GHz to 1.492 GHz.
