A Terminal Proxy Server(TPS) is a program that acts as an interface ofVoIP phones and supports certain functions.

The programs are installed on signaling control nodes and support configuration of multiple VoIP phones, their registration and control of available bandwidth.

Terminal proxy servers combine the functions of a terminal server with those of a proxy server. This means that they provide communication devices with a common connection point to a network and act as a proxy between the different networks.
