Temporal Noise Shaping (TNS) is a technique used in conjunction with Advanced Audio Coding( AAC) to reduce quantization noise. Temporal noise masking models quantization noise, which can lead to higher audio artifacts within data blocks during compression and decompression, in the time domain.
