temporal encryption key (802.11i) (TEK)

The Temporal Encryption Key (TEK) is part of the key management ofWLANs according to 802.11i and is used by access points( AP) and an additional station. The Temporal Encryption Key is derived from the Pairwise Transient Key( PTK) or the Group Transient Key( GTK). The TEK key is used in the Temporal Key Integrity Protocol( TKIP).
