teletex

Teletex (Ttx) is an internationally standardised text communication service for the transmission of texts via the Integrated Data Network (IDN). Teletex was discontinued in 1993 and represented the combination of an electronic typewriter and a teletypewriter in one device. The transmission speed in the Teletex network was 2,400 bit/s. A normally written DIN A4 page could be transmitted in about 10 seconds.
