telecommunications interception ordinance

The Telecommunications Surveillance Ordinance(Telekommunikations-Überwachungsverordnung - TKÜV) is a federal ordinance that legally regulates the legal, technical, organizational and economic requirements for carriers and providers and enables the relevant bodies to carry out technical surveillance measures.

The Telecommunications Surveillance Ordinance replaced the Telecommunications Traffic Surveillance Ordinance(FÜV), which was valid until 2002. The European Telecommunications Standards Institute( ETSI) is working on this issue to ensure that uniform regulations also exist internationally.
