The Application Framework forms the central application-related framework in the New Generation Operations Systems and Software( NGOSS) framework model.

The entire NGOSS framework is divided into four levels and forms the concept for controlling cross-enterprise business processes between providers, service providers, Internet service providers and IT companies.

The Application Framework with the Telecom Applications Map ( TAM) ensures the integration of business-critical applications. A wide variety of applications are integrated at this level. These can be billing, network management, inventory or customer relationship management( CRM).
