system managed audio resource technique (DVD-Audio) (SMART)

If several audio channels recorded with Linear Pulse CodeModulation( LPCM) are mixed together to two channels on a DVD-Audio, then this is done in the System Managed Audio Resource Technique(SMART). With this technique, audio can be individually adapted to the corresponding format such as surround via various parameters and options.
