synchronized sample scrambler (SSS)

Synchronized Sample Scrambler (SSS) is an encryption method that is used to encrypt information units in the transmission adaptationsublayer (TC) of the ATM layer model. This method is used to encrypt ATM cellpayloads for all transmission methods except "direct" cell transmission (Cell Based Physical Layer). The SSS procedure works with a generator polynomial of X exp43+1.
