The extended special channel range( ESB) is a frequency range in cable distribution networks that lies in the frequency range from 303.25 MHz to 463.25 MHz. This range is intended for digital television and provides eighteen channels of 8 MHz bandwidth each. The extended special channel range, also referred to as the hyperband, includes a total of 21 television channels with a bandwidth of 8 MHz. The extended special channel range lies between the upper special channel range(OSB) and band IV.
