Above this is VHF, whose frequency range extends to 108 MHz. Between VHF and Band III is a frequency range not used for terrestrial television. The lower special channel range ( USB) from 112.25 MHz to 168.25 MHz, into which television programs are fed in cable distribution networks, has been placed in this frequency band. In total, the USB range comprises new analog special channels, each with a bandwidth of 7 MHz. The lower special channels are designated S02 to S10.

In addition to the lower special channel range, there is the upper special channel range(OSB) and the extended special channel range( ESB), also called hyperband.
