super large scale integration (IC) (SLSI)
Super Large Scale Integration (SLSI) is an indication of the integration density ofchips.
Integrated circuits( IC) in SLSI technology have between one million (`10^6`) and ten million (`10^7`) transistors per chip. SLSI technology was realized in the 1990s. The structure width is 0.25 µm.
Microprocessors, microcontrollers and programmable interrupt controllers( PIC) are implementedin SLSI technology.
