subscriber distribution interface (SDI)
A Subscriber Distribution Interface (SDI) is the device in local networks at which the branch cables coming from the cable splitters are divided into the terminal lines leading to the end subscriber.
Such a brancher forms the terminating point line technology( APL). The terminal branching point is usually located in a small housing on the sidewalk or mounted in a housing with wall mounting. From it, one or more terminal lines go directly to the telecommunications access units(TAE) at the end subscriber.
