structured graph format (SGF)

The Structured Graph Format (SGF) is an XML-compliantmarkup language that works with structured graphics. In the structured representation, the individual page elements of a website are connected by nodes and links in the form of a sitemap.

The SGF format is a file format for describing websites. It structures the contents of web pages in the tabular form of a sitemap. With appropriate tools that use metadata, interactive sitemaps can be created. Thus, the user can create new sitemaps by moving the functional fields and by changing the structure. The graphical structure of the website is used for clarity and improves the search and filtering of terms and topics on the web.
