Strain reliefs relieve and protect the contact connections against tensile loads or mechanical stresses. They are found in all connector technologies, in power plugs, junction boxes, patch panels and splicing devices. They can be made of metal, galvanized steel or plastic. Mechanical clamping devices also protect splices against tensile forces.
