storage programmable control (SPC)

StorageProgrammable Controls(SPC) have been the link between automation and computer technology since the 1980s. They provide an operator interface with which every user can view and program automation systems or production machines from different perspectives.

The corresponding machines and systems are controlled via actuators, which are controlled by the programmable logic controller via power stages.

PLC systems are powerful process computers or industrial computers suitable for rugged use. They have simple programming languages, are designed for continuous operation, and signal processing is at the bit level. Like other computers, a programmable logic controller consists of a microprocessor with main memory and a timer whose control instructions are stored in program memory and called up via addresses.
