static network address translation (SNAT)

Static address mapping (SNAT) is a NAT procedure, Network Address Translation (NAT), which is normally only used for address translationbetween two private networks. The router located between the two networks has stored the network addresses of both networks in its routing table. Dynamic Network Address Translation( DNAT) is used for larger networks with changing network addresses.
