static IP

A distinction is made between static and dynamic IP addresses. Static IP addresses are unique. They are assigned when computers are configured or by Internet service providers(ISPs) for computers connected to the Internet and do not change.

As a result, static IP addresses have a fixed address relationship of a domain to a company or other institution. Dynamic IP addresses, on the other hand, are assigned by the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol( DHCP) and change. Such dynamic IP addresses can be reused multiple times and have the advantage that the IP address is not assigned indefinitely and can be reused once it has been assigned. This saves valuable IP address space.

The conversion of the static IP addresses, written in decimal notation, to the domain name takes place in the Domain NameSystem( DNS).
