stateful app

The HTTP protocol is a stateless protocol that does not use data from a previous request- response session for a subsequent request-response. Since it makes sense to access previous data for some web page calls, for example to shorten call times or to retain the login, there are stateful apps in addition to stateless apps.

In the case of stateful apps, the request-response process stores data that is accessed in subsequent requests. Logging into a website is an example of this. Stateful operation can be recognized by the fact that the login to a logged-in website is retained during a refresh.
