start lead-in (SLD)

Start Lead-In (SLD) identifies the start of the table of contents on a compact disc ( CD). In order for a CD drive to recognize the table of contents ( TOC), it must be at a radius of 23.1 mm. If the lead-in with the TOC directory, table of content ( COT), is not exactly at this position, it will not be recognized by the CD drive.
