spheric wave

Spherical waves, Spheric Waves, are sound waves or RF waves that propagate isotropically: uniformly in all directions.

As they propagate from the point of origin, the surface area of the spherical wave increases with the square of the distance: `4Pi*r^2`. At the same time, the RF field strength decreases quadratically for high frequency waves and the sound intensity decreases quadratically for sound waves.

RF spherical waves are radiated by isotropic spherical radiators, spherical sound waves by spherical loudspeakers.
