Sound Retrieval System (SRS) is a patented technique for reproducing surround sound through two speakers
or stereo headphones. The SRS technique uses computer technology to create the psychoacoustic features that characterize surround sound. This includes the listener experiencing spatial depth during sound reproduction and being able to locate individual instruments and performers. Even sound sources located behind the listener can be simulated. In addition, SRS technology widens the area in which the spatial sound impression is created. The listener is therefore not fixed to a particular sitting position when listening via loudspeakers.
